having looked at the emoticons / smilies, there is no 'standard' to dnf.

i have noticed that some of the worst have been taken away, however looking at the 'initial 15' smilies, there are yellow, white, and green smilies. some of them actually have white background, whilst some of them have clear background.

this isnt exactly complicated to change, and would make the forum present itself better
