We're approaching one month since the announcement of paid memberships at DNForum. Many predicted this would result in the death of DNForum. DNForum membership totals are stronger than expected. We already have 98 Platinum members and 46 Gold members. DNForum is as strong as ever. Platinum membership perks are being added. I have promised to auction a 3 letter .com in the private Platinum Member Forum when we reach 100 Platinum members. The last feature added is the "Platinum Member Profiles Forum" http://www.dnforum.com/f32/ . Each Platinum member is allowed to create one thread detailing themselves or their domain names, products or services.

The next auction, Sunday March 9, will be the last auction that non Gold or Platinum members can attend. It is also the last auction that non Platinum members can list their domain names for sale.
For the March 16th auction, Platinum members will be allowed to list up to 20 names in the auction. I will be listing 20 3 letter .coms in the auction. My primary purpose in doing this is attract only serious domain name resellers. Any serious domain name reseller would pay $15/year (Gold Membership) for a chance to buy a 3 letter .com at a greatly reduced price. The odds are with 20 being sold in one auction there will be quite a few bargains. Everyone should have at least one 3 letter .com.

Good plan for the auctions Greg. I'll add an article about the March 16 live auction to DN Journal this weekend. Everyone will want to know about that.
