I have installed the Opera Mini browser on my BB and it works fine. It's something to do with the default BB browser, however I know it was working fine until a few days ago.

Hi,

What is the error exactly? Is it that the mobile skin is not being displayed or is it not posting properly?

I get the mobile skin to work fine on my iphone.

Im looking for an updated mobile skin that we can add to the forum.

Thanks

Ok let me know if it is not working.

There are a couple different styles I have lined up I may try if this is still causing issues for some.

If it is working I will leave it like this for now.

Thanks

Huseyin,

The problem is confirmed with the BlackBerry browser all of a sudden, the Iphone has continued to work fine.

The errors that are happening are still as stated in the first post here....

Just checked on my bberry.... same parse error I stated above.

I will note this... For the life of me I can't remember the site, but I got a similar error. 5 years on bberry and never had these parse type errors. maybe bberry changed something?

Let me see if I can recall that site.

www.chemweek.com... bberry guys see if that comes up for you.

I cannot say I've tried that site before on bberry, but the error is similar: "Error encountered during XML parse. End tag does not match start tag 'meta'.

Yeah I'm still not convinced it's a problem on our end.

Is anyone else having an issue with it that's not using a BB here on DNF?

not sure but perhaps http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update/ will help with bb users problems ??

and this was posted on a blackberry site .. just google "Error encountered during XML parse"

Quote:
Websites can be coded to perform better with some browsers rather than others. The BB Browser can appear to websites as several different things...that setting is, from within the Browser App, (BBKey > Options > Browser Configuration > Browser Identification). Changing that to another browser might help your BB interact better with some websites. In combination with all of the other configuration settings, you need to find the combination of all of these settings that works best for the sites you are visiting. Sadly, there is no "best advice" to give as each persons needs are different. But, I typically find that changing the Browser Identification often helps -- most often by changing to FF or IE (if those are available to you...the options vary by carrier).

Good luck!
G/L

James,

There is that option on BB to select your browser ID, I can choose BB Browser/FF/IE.

The only problem with that is then the system doesn't recognize you as being on a mobile device and spits on the standard desktop style instead of the mobile version

Still working fine here with Opera.

Have you used the mobile previously ok and can you select your browser interpretation on your phone? If it's set to IE or FF, for example, it will not spit out the mobile version as it thinks your on a PC
