to put domain name in brackets if like to use space. e.g ( buy domains . com ) or { buy domains . com } In your example, { agreatdomain - computers .com } It is well organised and people will know the domain name easily. I think it is easy.

I think the best solution is having a TLD image inserted into the title of the thread. You can have a drop down menu or something like what we have when selecting a smiley, But instead of a smiley it would be .com, .net, org.. etc. Just a thought.

The only reason I started this thread was because I wanted to be able to post 'Domain Received. Thanks for the deal' to Luigi. Or possibly say 'Hey, Luigi ripped me off and didn't transfer me the domain'. The point was I had a deal going on and then the thread is closed in the middle of it. It was not a big deal or a large issue, but just something I thought should be pointed out. Again I say that perhaps the most appropriate thing to do in that situation was to just edit the title to conform to this dnf rule and move on. That's all. Your initial reply to me in so many words read to me as, 'Fk off and deal with it'. And that is why I replied with my sarcastic sir yes sir remark. I mean no disrespect but you need to listen sometimes and not react with the typical rules is rules. That's all I'm saying. Look, I've been using this forum for years since back before Gregr was the owner. I used to love this place but that love faded due to all the beaurocracy and games played here. We used to do good business on here. I was buying and selling everyday. A lot has changed. Now there are very few good domains for sale here to buy. And if you're selling, there's a whole lot more people whose only mission is to offer 5 bucks over the last guy and the last guy was a lowballer. It's frustrating and aggravating and who needs all that anyway? Maybe its just that selling on forums has just changed that way because I don't see it being any different on the other forums. But I do know that for me, business used to be good at DNF, but now I don't see it that way anymore. I think this controlled environment you speak of needs controls to stimulate better domain business and not controls that enforce things like domains in the title which I regard as controls that are not necessary.

This is the 3rd time I posted this without a reaction ![]() Why not simply use example(.)com as permitted by the rules? What is the big deal about that anyway since I believe it works well and is easy and does not detract from the domain appearance too much?

Country: | Thanks, but I don't know if they can program it in or not... They would have to make it visible in the post listings, search and when sending and receiving PM's. If they can make this work, they can even color code the images according to TLD. |

Dave, I didn't read the whole the whole thread but people avoid posting the domain name in the title or inside to escape from Google most of the times. Domain(.)com style of posting will not help this as Google is clever enough to index it.. That is why, I suggested few weeks ago to create a section for such members who want to post domain sales without mentioning the domain name but for a listing fee payable to DNF.. "How about paid listings on DNF? " http://www.dnforum.com/f79/how-about...ad-343024.html Hope I am not distracting the thread but this is what is the solution for domain in title rule..imho. thanks, Sai.

Country: | Maybe instead of closing threads, mods can instead edit the thread, and input the violation of the rule in the first post. So everyone can see, and everyone can reply. Problem solved.

Country: | and then we get accused of censorship when we do that plus when they list several domains and we add in one we always get a PM or a report (oh, put this one in the title or these three, or this or that).

Country: | No. What I meant is put the violation of the rule on the TOP of the first post, and remain the content of the first post in tack. e.g. Before: US$5 each a.com b.com After: Quote:
a.com b.com Like that.

Country: | Then what would be the motivation to follow the rules? I can't spend all day editing everyone's posts because they don't want to follow them. Adding in the quote would be a laughable "correction" for the rules. If a thread isn't a major violation all the OP needs to do is report the closed thread and ask us to edit / fix it and we can do that and then reopen it. I also love it how people act like it is the end of the world when their posts are closed. They're closed - all that means is that no one can post a reply. It is still in the forum and potential customers can still send them a PM about the item(s) for sale.
