Mods or admins in chatroom

I think we should have mods or admins in chatroom. It gets so out of control when a lot of people are in there. I would think I'd be good in there because Im practically in there all the time.

What do you think?

I dont think having a mods is a good idea as already mods are doing a lot of hardwork and they dont have that much time.
Best idea can be creating a bot on there who can control spams and everything.

thats sounds like a good idea. I mean like if a mod or admin has a little time to goto the chatroom when they see like a couple people grant 1 permision to patrol.

A bot may be able to handle it without the need for a live person but what do you think the main issue(s) is in there?

I think the main reason a mod would be needed would be because certain people like to advertise their domain names NONSTOP.

I'm fine with people who want to tell people about their domain names... but it isn't necessary to ask each person individually if they are interested in purchasing the name... Andy.

need tougher rules, people who spam the chatrooms should be banned or fined in DNF$ people who spam the forum get banned, should have the same rule for chatroom, afterall people who want to buy domains can see them listed for sale in the forum we dont need people asking if you want to buy domains every few seconds

steevy we really just want the chatroom to be an open chat where people can talk but being fined or banned a little harsh dont you think. Maby limits and if you suceed the limit then your out for the day.... That probably a better idia

Dont really think we need chat room moderated.. U can always ignore a person if he spans in chat room or copy the content and report it later..

I frequent the chat room often.
I have never seen a need for it to be moderated.
I wonder of andy's comment was from some exprecience that happened to him once??

The chat room is doing fine, and it is a great success IMO

yes seeker your right and I have no major incident, but since now the internet can be so violent maby get a couple different bots like say someone tries to send a virus or something before the link can be posted a bot checks to see if it contains a virus but fast not slowing down and if it contains a virus it suspends the person from the chat and it reports it to a mod or admin. Just a suggestion. Its also covering the night chats I dont get to see :(
