New Feature: Post Edit History - DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars

This appears to be a new feature which was implemented with the new changes. Is it just me that thinks the feature is a bad idea? Being able to see previous edits you have made defeats the whole purpose of doing an edit sometimes, to hide sales prices at a buyers request, etc.

I agree and I think even the tags feature should be visible just to the tagger, not for public. E.g. I just added two tags to this thread that you might not have wanted.

Till now haven't seen this happen , may be it only shows edit history to the user who his the owner of the post ?

You maybe onto something? But what would be the point of that? Maybe it's really just for admins/mods to see what you have previously written?

The tagging feature serves no purpose. It's used to group certain threads, which the related threads feature built into vB achieves.

Old edits should be viewable by staff only. As for the tagging - it's stupid

I think only staff can see it now. I will have to confirm it with Jarred though.

Yeah, especially when people change their original stance and lie or when scammer tries to remove any and all proofs of posting here... happened more than once.
