It's been going on for about a week and is so VERY annoying !
I thought it was my browser - but I'm a member of many forums and this has not happened before.
Each and Every page on dnForum loads - then reloads. Any topic I try to read I have to wait for the page to display twice in a row before I can read it.

That was happening to me too. I use IE 5.5 as my browser. I think it was related to the banner ads, but not sure...

Yup, I'm seeing seeing double too![]()
BUMP
This thread might get the problems fixed I hope - unless it's a dnF feature that I don't know about![]()
I was going to post something a week ago.
Anyway it's probably done intentionally by Greg to double the page views on the banners. :(
I haven't experienced that problem. I'm using IE6.

It's still very annoying - and I hope it doesn't take too long to fix. It's driveing me bonkers waiting for each page to load twice.
This is the only vB forum I've ever seen this problem on.
Odd.
I have never seen this problem. I use IE6.
I agree though, if that were happening, it would drive me batty!

. . .
Me either. I haven't had the problem.
Maybe it's only for IE 5.5 users? If others are having page doubling (as I am), please state your web browser and version.

Mine doesn't IE 5.5.
While I haven't been having that problem on this site, I did start noticing that exact problem on www.News.com starting a couple of weeks ago. Anyone else notice that?

Maybe my internet connection is too fast to notice a refresh.

It's only on this forum - and stil refreshs when the whole page is loaded. Can't be my buggy old browser becuase I haven't seen it on ant other forum.
Ok, so the majority of you having problems are using IE 5.5, correct? What Operating System? Do you have any kind of ad blocking software, or pop-up killer, or other software that may be causing this? Just trying to find the similarities between the software each of you are using.Originally posted by DotComster

BTW, no problems with IE 6 or Mozilla 1.0/1.1/1.2 here.
As for the banners, they shouldn't be causing the issue, unless your browser has really buggy javascript support.
Is anyone experiencing this problem who isn't using IE 5.5? While it seems that not everybody with IE 5.5 is having this problem, it seems to be the common link for those who are.

It's not the entire page that "doubles", by the way. It's only the part at the very top above the "Home", "Register", "User CP", etc. buttons (i.e. with the dark background). It loads that part for me, pauses, and then redraws the entire page, including the part it already rendered. So, maybe it has to do with the HTML for those buttons?
There also seem to be a bunch of links in the HTML source that link to some of Greg's sites (i.e. links on clear pixel images). That might be it too.
There's also a Javascript function for AIMWindow? But, I don't see it used anywhere, hmmmm.
