Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!DNF has a nice feature now, when we login and look at new posts; after some initial set of results (based on when you last logged in), there is a nice message that says the new ones are done and what follows are existing posts that were previously presented (though, they might have new comments).
I was thinking, something similar for search results would be good - what if we had, for search output, the first 3 or 4 months showing just like now, but then a message appears that says something like "The following posts are older, and may no longer be as relevent". And perhaps after 12 months old posts a message that says "The following posts are archived but in most cases should not be replied to" or some such verbiage.
These date ranges are not about when a thread was first started, but rather from the date of the last person to comment in the thread.
