Thumbs down Thread prefix ?! Stupid

Where's this thread prefix thing come from?
Never seen it before, now everyone is just adding 'sale'
Just tried to edit a sales thread & it says use drop down prefix box next to subject field?
    First question, errr. where?
Second question, why was this introduced?

    Confused!

    Re: Thread prefix ?! Stupid

NP introduced the samething a couple months ago.
I don't see any benefit except creating more confusing.

The page view is more difficult to read with the prefix.

Suggest to take them off to save bandwidth and time.

I think it is very useful when I check my unread posts.
Congratulations to DNF for adding this feature.

Thumbs down Re: Thread prefix ?! Stupid

It's just more unnecessary things for your eye to look at.
    It serves no earthly purpose.
You can't edit your original post either without adding one it seems, if you know how, or even care.

    Re: Thread prefix ?! Stupid

I think it has to do with the rss feeds, same as "put domain name in title". So they can better categorize and catch all sales threads.
