May I suggest the following:
Instead of having all those links in the header menu and the "Welcome, username" field it would be better to have just one drop down menu which will include the following links:
Today's Threads
Today's Posts
New Posts
My Topics
Especially the "My Topics" search function should be added, in my opinion.

Personally i donot like dropdowns.....
Havent got the hang of using those yet...But anyways lets see what the other members feel
