Yeah there is no number displayed.
Is this works better then the previous way we can stick with this.

I. however, prefer knowing the nuumber of posts. If it is a couple hundred, I'd scan through the pages. If it was 500, I'd just mark them as Read.
Now I have to go through umpteen pages, the total now unknown, to figure out how many posts I've missed. So, yes, I miss it.

Make sure you are using the correct forum skin:

The unread posts link appears but the actual number does not. We agreed here that this way would be better then the previous way that include the total.
With this way you can click on a unread post and have it continue to show up just unbolded in the unread post section, ie showing both read and unread posts.
