Unread posts

Normally when I get up in the morning there are between 2-5 pages of unread posts dating back from when I went to bed (using the link near the top right - "XX unread posts since your last visit" etc).

This morning, there were 17 pages ranging from the morning of the 25th.

It seems that where it used to only go from your last visit / activity if there is an extended amount of time away to showing a lot - I don't know how long this will go, if it will go further from the 25th.

Edit: And this one doesn't show up in the unread posts (or is it the "read posts disappear" bug?)

Yup, had that last night. Same with "unread subscriptions". Log out & log back in, it should clear them, but you might miss some that you actually didn't read.

Edit : Nope, that didn't work. Is the date wrong on a server?

After the normal list of unread posts there is a break;
"The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts."
Then the list continues with posts you haven't read, but were available already at your last visit.

- And yes, the posts I've read, such as this one, now disappear from the "Unread posts" list... which does make sense, but breaks my pattern of behavior...

But you don't see that unless you are on that page. When I get up in the morning, I refresh DNF anf click on the "last" and it takes me to the last page. This morning it was page 17. :(

Im looking into it now. We recently upgraded the system which seems to have have caused it.

I am looking through the settings and will post an update shortly.

Does it seem fixed? I'm trying out a few different settings. Let me know if it corrects for you.

Nope, after this test it wasn't in the "unread posts" list and the list is now 20+ pages long. :S

Nope. Looks like the culprit is in the behavior of the read/subscribed threads.

I get my messages by the "Unread Posts" link too. I hate this new feature.
