What's considered to be a legit bump in External auctions?

The rules in external auctions are not that clear at all. How many bumps are allowed in external auctions and What's a legitimate bump?

My thread was locked because I posted Reserve Met bump - http://www.dnforum.com/f178/otf-net-...ad-462647.html

I tried to combine multiple auctions in one thread before and only bumped on day that those auctions were ending but thread was still locked.

Simply posting an informative update the reserve was met seems to me to be a fully legitimate post.

    9. Blatant and deliberate attempts to bump your thread to the top of the list with comments like (but not limited to) "bump", "up", "still available", etc. will result in the thread either being closed or deleted without notice! You may be warned at first, but repeated offenses may be treated differently. You are allowed one Bump in the last day (last 24 hours) of the auction.

oh ok. That explains it. So it's always best to create separate threads for each auction if they're ending on different days.

    It's clear as mud.
I've yet to get an answer to how these antiquated rules apply to Exclusive members.
Sorry, we are not all equal.

This sounds more like a judgement call to me. It could go either way. If it was always "fully legitimate" all the bumpers would start posting "reserve met" instead of "bump."
