Thumbs down Why?

Ok, I know I don't post here any more, and you Will all think I am a n00b, but meh. Life will go on.

I have a few simple (IMHO they are) questions, but first I want to say sorry about the site being defaced the other day. now to the question, why is there no thread on the hacking but yet there is over at Name Pros... (Mbe I missed it and if so where would it be at? Im not talking about the post that says "yay we are back up" I am talking about a post that expains it all) why does a site that is trying to compete agnest you have more info than the site that got hacked? sorry but a lot of "whys" are running in my head right now..

another thing, why is Nam Pros blocked with ******, they have tryed to help you when your site got hacked by keeping everyone up to date and you do that?

So, if you could help me and answering these questions I would be forever grateful.

Re: Why?

Angisson,

I must admit as an ardent DNF'er it does seem strange to me also that there is not an explanatory thread published here!

Further more I must admit that I went to NP when the site here was hacked (I have been a member of NP for several months). The support shown by NP for DNF was outstanding and there was nothing but support for DNF in the postings. I can only ask that Adam reconsider the stance against NP. (After all NP is the second best Domainers Forum on the net! , )

But from one DNF'er I would like to say thank you to NP for your support and that of all your members during the recent attack on us here.

Billbo

Re: Why?

Well done Adam, this shows more than anything why we DNF'ers are such staunch supporters of you and this Forum.

Re: Why?

I agree with both of you.

NamePros was the site which constantly kept me updated about DNForum situation.

Adam did the right thing by taking off the block.

Main question I have is, was any of our forum data was compromised?

The hacker tried to down the mysql database, even if he did dnforum has very good backups, so it shouldn't have been, to be safe, they had everyone change their pw.

If you don't post on here then why are you posting? If you like NamePros then stick with him, don't come over here to ***** about your problems with DNForum if you don't post here.

Re: Why?

NP had a similar run in last year that caused us to have to take the site down for 12 hours. It was one of the worst days I've ever had, and I got a pit in my stomach hearing it happened to DNF.

It's just instances like this that remind us we're all in this business together. You didn't need to remove the word censor, but its cool of you to do so anyway. Glad to see you back online.

You're pathetic. Namepros supported DNF and that's all you have to say?

Heh, your current mood status is "Cloud Nine"...I'd hate to see you when you're irritated.

There is no need for insulting. That is very rude on your part slider to come here and insult a respected member of DNF.
