Exclamation Why Us Paid Members See An Ad At The Top of DN Forum?

Please tell me why us paid memebrs see an advertisement at the top of DN Forum?

DO NOT lock this thread. My other thread was locked, and the issue was not resolved. I've contacted admin directly - no response, so here is my public thread, which needs to stay open.

I do not want an ad at the top. For guests, it is fine, but for us paid members, no, it is not fine. I did not pay to see ads. There is no reason why ads are needed: the income of this forum is far greater than it is to run.

Explain or take down the ad please.
    Thank you.

I really don't mind the ads - sometime very interesting services are advertised here.
As long as they aren't promoting Viagra, Mortgages or the latest David Hasselhoff album it's fine with me

I don't like it, and I don't find the ads useful or professional. Normally places with ads are free. This forum isn't free, so I don't see a reason for the ads. Like I said, the income of this forum is more than enough to power it and keep it up.

EGS, if your not happy with the forum you can always fine another one. I like the ads here and no one ever promised you a service with no ads. So stop complaining and get on with it

Ads bring in revenue for the site. It cant be run by membership upgrades alone. The ads have always been there, for paid members and non paid members. Why is it such a big deal?

It wouldn't be a big deal if the ads were for moderators, but seeing as the moderators aren't paid [I think?], I don't see the need for ads when the forum brings in enough income to run it. Greed is overpowering common sense right now.

I don't mind the ads, literally. I ignore them :-D Unless you're on a 28.8 kbps connection, the ads take nothing away from the experience of DNForum.

How else will one know if their domains are PREMIUM?

All kidding aside, if you have ever purchased a newspaper, magazine, subscribed to cable, etc., then you know that ads are simply a part of life. Like any other business the owner here is entitled to profit off of his hard work...

    You've been a member since May 2005
There has always been ads at the top.
Why the sudden Holier than Ads attitude?
Everyone one of us posts ads referring to our own domain investments.
There just might be some hot new domain service that would advertise here first & all of us paid members would miss it.

I already answered you here, but you didn't like my answer. http://www.dnforum.com/f79/get-rid-ad-top-thread-183823.html
This is not an "issue". FYI ads are not being removed. Thread closed. Don't start another one.
