![]() I hope that Spain win, however they *always* under-perform. I think they'll get to the final, but then Germany will over-power them. Again, I hope I'm not right here! Yep, indeed ![]() Germany certainly did get the luck of the draw - in groups A and B you had Portugal, Germany and a few other decent teams, although groups C and D had Holland, France, Italy, Greece (Euro 2004 champions), Sweden, Spain and Russia - hence it's easy to see why Germany (or Portugal) were favourites - either Germany or Portugal looked certain to get to the final.

Country: | For what I watched yesterday Russia will win it for sure! Shame on portuguese defense, they could/should have done a better job... Germany played really well though, they deserved to win that game. But I think any other day Portugal would have won it. =(

Country: | Viva la Espania! The best team won - Italy fouled and fouled (and defended loads), although in the end Spain emerged victorious ![]() All 4 semi-finalists really deserve to be there IMHO (especially nice for Turkey and Russia who haven't established their names fully!)

Country: | Turkey vs. Croatia did you see the play? it was unbelievable. it was the 122. minute. I can not believe in. It was the same in switzerland and Czech plays. They do something, that i can not explain. I dont know. Germany must win the match normally against turkey but after diese 3 playes i can not trust any team against turkey. |

DNF$: 5,210 Location: In Orbit | Turkey has only 14 players available for the match agains Germany, and are talking about putting one of the spare goalies in the offense... It sounds like an impossible match for them, but you'll never know. But I think they've had their share of miracles now.

Country: | I am Canadian living in Spain. I would normally root for England but they couldn't get it together this time around so I figured I might as well root for the home country, and it has been an exciting and satisfying run so far. Fantastic game tonight. Spain had so many chances, so many shots, but very few landed on goal. Both in the last minute of regulation and again in extra time they blew fantastic chances. Glad to see them come through on shots (though I really hate for a game like this to be ended that way) and look forward to the coming nights. I shall go to a Spanish bar and mingle with the locals I think ![]() |

Country: | Arshavin move to Arsenal back on Source: The People, The Mail on Sunday It was reported yesterday that Zenit St Petersburg manager, Dick Advocaat, played down the chances of Arsenal moving in for their playmaker Andrei Arshavin. Today, the scenario has changed a bit, according to The People. According to the English newspaper, Arshavin could move to Arsenal for a fee of about £10 million. The transfer fee seems to be reasonable for a player of Arshavin’s quality, but Arsenal needs to be careful given that the player’s wages are already reported - by The People - to be worth about £60,000 per week. The Mail on Sunday reported that £60,000 per week is the salary that the club was willing to offer Emmanuel Adebayor in an attempt to convince him that his future lies at the Emirates Stadium. It will be interesting to see how Arsenal will manage to convince Arshavin to move to England, should that be the case. The Russian winger has already declared his intention to leave Zenit St Petersburg and it is though that other European clubs, apart from Arsenal are interested. Chelsea, who seems to be linked with everybody that moves, are among the front runners, while AC Milan is considered to have an outsider’s shot due to their failure to qualify for the Champions League next season, reports The People.

Of course, there have been enough surprises this far to make me think that a Turkey Vs Russia final is still quite possible!

Country: | Haha my bad I totally forgot Russia is still in the game. That's just the problem many people really didn't think Russia had any chance including me. When Holland beat Italy and France like it was nothing I really thought they would at least make it to the finals. I think the strength of Russia was that they put their self in the underdog position and Hiddink knew all the weak spots of The Netherlands. I think history will repeat and Spain will beat Russia. Time will tell ![]()

Country: | The Russia game was spectacular. Russia played better (but not too much) than Netherlands...some of the shots in the first half were cracking...in the end, they deserved their semi-final spot. The Spain and Italy match was dull and boring (most matches with Italy are)..I fell asleep halfway through and woke up only during the penalties..lol I tip Russia to win this one, though you never know Germany..they've got the big match experience on their side (while Spain are quite likely to choke in the semifinals, as they often do)
