Tennis Anyone?

I am not a tennis fan (as far as watching).

Tonight I was flipping over to ABC about 715 to watch Jeopardy.

Federer and Del Porto were half way through 4th set.

I stayed and I watched and IT WAS AWESOME!!!

GREAT VOLLEYS! And serves. There was a time where even the announcers (McEnroe and someone else) said it looked like Del Porto was asleep, tired, done, finished...then suddenly a 131 MPH serve!

Great, great, great final!

I love tennis and I've played tennis for 11 years.

Federer is the BOSS!

Now I'll never hear the end of it from my father-in-law on how great Argentina is!!!......He's from Argentina....

But del Potro did go head to head with Roger and eventually wore him out.....

20 years old. Awesome speech he gave at trophy acceptance. You can tell he held a great deal of respect and admiration for Federer.

In college, I had a killer serve.

That was it.

No game.

No return.

If someone was to return one of my serves, I was hopeless.

Roger played poorly. Serve was terrible and he just wasn't his usual self.

Absolutely. Del Potro's forehand is a monster and after the initial nerves, he was pretty relaxed given the opponent and the circumstances.

I will never understand why Federer didn't play the ball to Del Potro's backhand more often. But still, great match by both players. Only the audience was very annoying at times. I can understand that they were getting emotional, but all the heckling disrupted the match in some important situations.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Federer is such a tactician, I couldn't figure it out.

I was impressed enough to stay glued to the TV for well over an hour. And that would probably be equal to the total time I watched tennis in my entire life.

I might tune in again. But I won't watch for a couple of weeks straight to see who advances.
