i really don't see how the ongoing scandals in Ital^y will affect the team in the short term. therefore such an argument does not hold this world cup unless Buffon becomes psychologically disturbed.

on another note yesterday i watched an international build up game at geneva between brasil and New Zealand in which the former won 4-0. after what i saw i am more or less that there is trouble looming at the horizon as the Brazilians are simply invincible!! they are in the best form like never before

do you think that New Zealand know how to play soccer?
I am surprised that they have a team!
I have been there....I saw them play here in Australia......come on...they are at the basics.
I heard England destroyed Jamaica 6-0.......it`s the same story I guess.

AHAHAHAHA... ya, we use ice cubes, and instead of cleats we have snow shoes... We will stick to hockey. Edmonton being in the stanley cup finals of course! Back to soccer, my local Vancouver whitecaps are doing well, but they are unpaid people who would set records in the world cup. Records like highest score in a game if they played Brasil, my predictions, that game would end up 12 - 0. After all this, I am actually not sure if Canada is in or not, I would doubt it. Anyways.

I must admit that initially i thought Germany would win this, but now I am afraid there are much stronger teams with high expectations. England, 40 years after their last title will want it bad. Argentina with an All star team... and who knows we might see a suprise in this world cup with Czech Republic!

I was staying near to Hamburg until two weeks ago but i am near Leipzig during the summer. Nuremburg/Frankfurt arent far away from here either. so if any one you coming to these stadiums, let me know.

i livê in Bremen (near Hamburg) but at the moment i`m away for three months on a business trip to Geneva Switzerland. But I wish you a nice stay in GErmany. And may my team Germany win the WC.

yes, based on what i saw they do have potential and could become a strong force just like Australia. Who thought that Australia would ever come to the World Cup. New Zealand could do the same in the future i believe.

For the first time, I am confident that England are good enough to at least make the final - maybe even win it.

We have a good mix of youth and experience, the only weak link I see is we don't have a truly world class goalkeeper; unless they can rise to the occasion.

How can you say that Robinson is England's only weak link? The fact that Owen Hargreaves EVER gets to play in our national team is a disgrace in itself. He's practically German himself

Joe Cole is by no means World Class. Jamie Carragher also lacks the pace to play at the highest level. Gary Neville is getting old.... but still we can do very well.

yea, how unfortunate it was for the poles to say bye to the World cup first round for the second time in a row. it was not really not their day. Now is the time for the DFB to prove a point as we head into the second round stages in which we might meet England or Sweden.
