No reference to Luke - that was a good piece - but "authoritative" works better than "authority" as an adjective.

Dale, I think that one's a matter of personal preference. I went with the word I did because it sounds more American and punchy. Thanks though.

Luke, I wasn't having a go at you mate, although I did cite the error. You can't really have a noun as an adjective in American or British English. I'm just being an arse and being picky - probably because I didn't enter. I think your article is very good indeed; very punchy -- and I wouldn't be at all surprised if DCG picks it. At least you had the balls to post it

It will be great to see all 5 articles, did they all take the same tack or are they each from a different angle? Were any just pure figuresand/or facts?

Cannot wait to see the top submissions. (Also it will give us an insight as to what is required in any future competition.)

Could we possibly get an update on this contest? Has a winner been selected? If so, can we be privy to the name of the winner and of the magazine it will appear in? (I believe you said the September issue....sooooo....its September!

) Or has the contest been nixed? You've indicated announcements since June yet we await in suspense. What can you tell us?
