Hi all,

Here is some kind of a game. It's a strange one - kind of a Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer fence painting but not exactly.

Here are the rules, please read them to the end before you decide to take part.

1) You should donate me F$ (if you want of course).
2) You may donate more than once.
3) The winner will be the one with the biggest collective amount of donations.
4) The winner will earn half of all the earnings or 10000 F$ (in case the half of all earnings is greater than 10000F$) cause as I see there is a limit of 10000 F$ for the contest prizes.
5) With each donation you make you SHOULD POST HERE in the thread a reason for it. Most probably it will be a funny one, for example - "I donate because the sky is blue and the grass is green" or "I make a donation because you are stupid" or whatever. If there is not a posted reason in this thread for each donation, the donation won't be counted for winning.
6) You SHOULD NOT post the amount of your donations in the thread! (Otherwise, your competitors will have valuable information about the current state of the game). If you do not obey to this rule, you will be disqualified.
7) The game ends exactly 3 days after the timestamp of this initial post. Any further donations will be ignored for winning the game!
8) All donations (nevertheless if they are counted for winning or not) are non-refundable, so pls take care!

So, obviously I will win some F$ from the whole game if there are any donations, that's clear. But there are at least two more interesting reasons to make it. First, to have some fun with the above mentioned "reasons for donations" (pls, unleash your imagination here); and second, it will be quite interesting to see if the "winner" will be really a winner 'cause this will depend primarily on the other persons donations...
The sole purpose of the game is not just to win F$ for me, so I should warn you to be careful with your donations - there is no guarantee that you will win and even if you win, there is no guarantee that the winning amount will be more than what you've donated! So donate wisely in order to win... Also, obviously, there is not much point to donate more than 10000 F$ because this is the limit for the prize but who knows... if you really want to be the winner of this game, this could be one of the ways... Anyway, you're welcome to donate even 1 F$ just for fun and pointing a "reason".

PS. I will deposit my F$ from time to time in the bank in order the current overall amount of the donations to be unclear.

It really depends on the people here. You could be right. If several persons start, you may be wrong. We'll see. Anyway, nobody will die at the end I suppose, so it probably won't be so much entertaining for everyone as war is.

Ok, one of the participants in the game suggest me to show the current pot from time to time to make the game more attractive. I could do this since it doesn't show the individual donations.

So, the current overall amount is 956 F$.

The winner is diverge with a donation of 555 F$. He will get the half of all donations that is regretably less than his donation itself. :(

Yes, it appears that the idea does not become very popular (maybe it have been really too strange idea or maybe the section for the contests is just placed too deep in the forum tree). But thanks for giving it a try!
