The problem is when someone puts a logo up they say I like this part of Bobs design and this part of Jims design. Then Sam combines it and wins the contest. Sam may have had no real ideas just good at copying. I think the designs should be hidden or something like that. I also think it is kind of expensive, one to have the contest and then I did not know the designer has to pay money also.

Yeah, its like ebay, you pay to sell the product, then you got to pay the partner company a fee to receive the money... atleast ebay was once free, then had decent fee's, now they have just sky rocketed and no one wants to pay with anything other than paypal.

I don't want to start problems, because this site really is a great idea for both people looking to find logos and for designers to make money, but if they are racking in this much money they should atleast improve the site and offer MUCH better support and moderation.

Watermarks don't help, remember, most of the people on the site are designers, and all have photoshop, illustrator, etc. so they can just look at your design, font, etc. and just replicate it.

I agree. It can take away from the "originality" of some really good work. The submitted logo's should be hidden from view from other designers. Only the logo seeker should see all of the logos, of course. And the submitted logos should be line marked, a bunch of very light, thin red lines that are time consuming to remove.

Once a contest is won, only the winning logo should be displayed, and all other logos should be deleted from the database, one to save bandwidth and space, and two to keep the losing submissions from being indexed or stolen.

Somehow put a no right click on all images.

I do like the idea, but I wouldn't submit any work until a few kinks are worked out.

And for a logo contest site, you would figure the design on functionality on the site would be a lot better... I understand you are just starting, but a bit more planning would of help because now there are broken links / images all over the site.

My .02 and I won't be submitting anymore designs til something is done and I don't recommend anyone else wasting there time either.
    Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. As I explained to you in the eLogoContest forum, there is a specific way to go about reporting a ripped design, we actually have pretty decent support (if I say so myself) you just have to help us out by giving us the info we need.

Also not sure what you mean by "you would figure the design on functionality", if you have suggestions for the site design, please feel free to make them, if you want to give us your thoughts for improvements to the functionality you can do so on the eLogoContest forum if you wish (we would actually really appreciate that).

Sorry that you are upset, let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out.

I did report in your "suggested" form, didnt go anywhere. You didn't even respond to my post in the forums til what, 4 days + later? Thats not decent support. And i never even got a email response.

At this point, I rather find my own clients and take in full commission.

No, you didn't, as I explained in the eLogoContest forum. My original response is below, in case you somehow missed it. What you had done was start a thread in the forum and send an email complaining about the copying. While we take any copying very seriously you do need to report it in the required manner for us to be able to take action.

I'm sorry you won't be using the site anymore and wish you the best of luck.

    George

MY ORIGINAL RESPONSE ON THE ELOGOCONTEST FORUM:
    "Hi,
You need to send a PM to eLogoContest staff to have action taken on a ripped design.

If reporting theft of a design you submitted, please provide the ID number of your entry, as well as the ID number of the entry that copied you.

If reporting clipart, please provide a link to the original artwork, as well as a link to the design using the clipart.

If we find that you have a case we usually delete the offending design and ban the designer.

Sorry for your frustration but you need to follow the above instructions to have it taken care of (email works too but takes longer and you need to follow to instructions at http://elogocontest.com/legalinformation.php to the letter)

    George
    eLogoContest Staff "
