- I first got domain fever in 1999 when my brother and I bought BikeFinance.com. My brother has since moved on to more sensible things but I never really got healed and over the years suffered many breakouts resulting in lots of buying binges!
In 2003, I was lucky enough to snare a few Google misspellings which have been great for traffic, if nothing else. In 2004, I purchased amongst others, PhoneImages.com and TakeExercise.com. It was only really in 2006 that I really got into it, mainly due to the pay per click potential and the arrival of a secondary market.
Now 10 years on and in many ways no wiser, all I can say with certainty is that buying domains is quite a craft, especially picking names. To do it right, there's lots you need to know. I mainly concentrate on crafting domains that look nice, sound right and are free of any infringement. Some of the recent names I've picked include:
