About Me

  • About nameadvertising.com
    Biography
My name is Chris Desouza. Name Advertising is owned by my sister and me. Currently, our business model is based on end user sales, which is by far the most profitable way to conduct the domaining business. In 2007, we had sales of over $80,000 on 27 individual names.

Our entire portfolio is hand registered.

PPC model is a deception. We couldn't have made $80k in sales based on PPC valuation. Set PPC based sales limited to typos and for extra ordinary circumstances.

Work on acquiring brand keywords. What we mean by brand keywords is that, acquire names which not only values type in visitors, PPC, but end user interests as well. Not an easy thing to do. But this can be done by taking calculated and educated risks.

This year, Name Advertising is on pace to do over $150,000 in sales. Yes! You need NOT be a big fish to make a good living in the domaining business.

You can start small, re-invest 100% of it back and educate yourself on a daily basis. Try not to go by every convention and norm of the industry. Few are worthy of practice, most are not. Rules and norms defined by the big boys are in pace to benefit the big boys.

Do not dismiss anyone based on per transaction basis. Keep your contacts. You never know, who will zoom right past you into the domaining galaxy of stars.

Before I forget - The dollar value is almost shrunk in half. You get half the amount of groceries today for the dollar compared to a year ago. And I see domainers quoting the same valuation they did years ago. Add inflation in the mix among other domain name metrics when you make a sales quote or else your $$$ won't go far enough.

    Best Wishes
