While Bush plays in Iraq, our neighbor Mexico descends into turmoil

The situation in Mexico is absolutely grim.

Organized crime is out of control. Kidnappings, killings, and beheadings common. The country is very wealthy, but there is no middle class, so 1% live in luxury and 99% live in poverty and filth. The Catholic religion is multiplying the misery, as it does everywhere, by refusing to promote contraception, so people living in filth have an average of FIVE children. Illegal immigration to Mexico is a felony with a life sentence. The Mexican goverment openly encourages people to illegally enter the USA, published brochures on how to do it safely and without detection, assists in printing fake documents, and instructs them on how to commit identity theft and fraud to obtain free services in the US. Those Mexican citizens who commit a major crime in the US (such and murder) are allowed to re-enter Mexico where they will NEVER be extradicted. Parts of Southern Mexico is now barricated after major gun battles between local police and federal militia.

In Tijuana, a major city of 2 million just 25 miles from me, several police have been beheaded in the past few months, and several newpaper reporters killed in the streets in broad daylight.

That's the background --- now the latest. Tijuana police had all their guns taken away Jan 2, and now are to patrol this major, corrupt, violent city with... SLINGSHOTS! But the cops have to buy their own marbles.

What the #)#($ are we doing blowing a Trillion dollars to 'help the people of Iraq' for when this is going on in our own neighborhood???

We've got to stop saying Bush is the "worst president ever"; he has proven to be "The Worst President POSSIBLE".
