Sedo Takes 7 of Top 10 Spots on New DN Journal Chart and ccTLDs Shine

Through most of the summer we commented frequently on how the perennial "summer doldrums" seemed to be taking a vacation this year as the domain market just kept roaring down the track. However, the slow season for domain sales finally arrived in September and persisted through the opening day of autumn Sunday (Sept. 23) which was the final day of our latest 7-day reporting period. There were no six-figure sales in the past week and the top reported sale was the culmination of a transaction that actually began back in July when Moniker auctioned off the name at the Internext conference in Miami (the deal was just concluded this week).

Still, Sedo.com managed to shrug off the slump by booking 7 of the top 10 sales reported this week and went on to sweep half of the positions on our new Top 20 chart. The country code category also stood out with four ccTLDs making the all-extension leader board and two of those rank among the 20 biggest country code sales reported so far in 2007.
