What all is affected when you move your site to a new host?

Lets say for example, I have a PR5 site, with lots of indexed content. My traffic begins to outgrow my current host. I find a new suitable host (maybe a dedicated server) and I move my site and change my DNS. Will my PR go down due to the move? Will I drop out of rankings possibly for my keywords? Lets assume that nothing changed except the DNS and IP of my new host.

I am just curious about adverse affects of changing hosts, with relation to things such as PR, SEO and indexed contact. Are things like indexed content/PR/SEO all tied to the domain, or the IP? (Or something different).

I want to start a site out on a budget plan (such as the Deluxe Godaddy Plan). If the site becomes a hit, and I outgrow those resources, I want to know how much of a impact it will have on a transition over to something like a dedicated server (when all that changed for my domain is the DNS records and the new physical host).
