I'm starting a new blog that will have one or more new posts per day. The posts will be similar to what you see in the tech blogs like engadget.com and the rest of them, except my blog deals with a specific segment of consumer electronics. Basically, I'll look for new products, interesting articles and anything else of interest in this market segment and do a post about what I've read, along with a link to the source. But mostly it will be about new/updated products, with information gathered from releases and posts on other sites. The content, although about products in a technology area, are to be written for the end-user consumer and so are not very technical in nature.
What I'm wondering is, has anyone ever had success in hiring out authors for these types of short articles? Where do you find these freelancers? Wha kind of costs have you seen?
It's not a one-time job that I'll want to get a bid on at a freelance site, but an ongoing thing where I'll want someone to find the source articles (easy through an RSS reader), write them up, grab a photo for embedding, and go right into my blog and post them. Again, a technical background is not required. But I really need very good writers.
Any help is appreciated.
