Well I don't know if you noticed but Google already does but (and here's the catch) for the same term.
So if you own cars.com you'll always rank higher for "cars" but if you own buyawesomecars.com a buycars.ws can beat it in
SEO for the term "buy cars".
At least thats what I understand of it.
