I answered all there is to answer about your Health plan and your claim about how controlling it is.

Isn't it amazing that you still want to apply a higher standard of professionalism than your own job/function? You EXPECT more (from ME as a health professional) as a professional quality and standard than you apply to anyone else? Why do you not insist in the best service and no wait time when you go to WalMart?

You did nothing to answer the basic fundamental issue of - what in the hell do you want me to do? Me (the insurance company) is supposed to provide you (Joe Public) the best care, coverage, and services when you smoke two packs a day, drink a pint of whiskey a day, are 50 pounds overweight - you have developed emphysema and COPD and lung lesions from smoking, liver disease from drinking, and a cardiac mumur, hypertension and diabetes from eating all the wrong foods and inactivity.

It is like the automobile example.

What happens if you get in too many wrecks, speeding tickets, Dui's? You are dropped! Dropped because you are not responsible enough to slow down, quit drinking and driving, and feel that the only way you can get around town is speeding. You are NOT A SAFE DRIVER, A RISK TO OTHERS AND YOUR SELF, AND YOU ARE DROPPED!

If and when you can get insurance to drive, you are going to pay out the ass until you take some responsibility for your own actions.

It is all a matter of accountability and responsibility.

If you want to claim it is an invasion of privacy, then fine - don't disclose the truth to an insurance company and they drop your ass when caught.

Why should health insurance be any different? Why should I pay for you to get your crack and meth and overdose and come into the ER in a full code blue situation, revive you, put you on a ventilator a couple of days, get you better, discharge you, and two weeks later you are back. (This is a true story of a patient I know of doing this at least 5 times that I am personally aware of.)

This is the American healthcare system I know and I see -

Illegal and Legal immigrants that have no healthcare coverage, people that have no insurance because they have no job, heavy smokers that are repeatedly admitted for the same problem - they can not breathe. People sitting at home wearing oxygen and smoking away. Twenty and thirty something drug addicts, heroin, meth (ever seen meth mouth? they have no teeth as they grind them down - ugly as shit), unwed mothers who breed like there is no tomorrow - they do not work, do not care to work, put on this earth for one purpose and one purpose only - ****ing and making children that come out as cocaine and meth dependent preemies that need to be house in NICU's, drug and gang wars with knives and gunshot wounds, drunk drivers crashing headon into oncoming traffic killing his passenger and a family of three in the other vehicle while we work our asses off to save his life and lose others while working on them or enroute via air or ground to a trauma center, attempted suicide by drinking Ortho weed killer, the COPDer who smokes like a freight train while he's wearing oxygen and his right side of his face catches fire, another attempted suicide over a gay relationship gone bad (wasn't he here just two weeks ago), this big fat ****er who stabs himself repeatedly in his rolls of fat (he pinches the rolls and stabs himself with a little pen knife) because he is addicted to pain killers.

All in a night's work. No joke.

Notice all the resources taken up, the time consumed, ambulance crews, air care, all the drugs used, all the materials and equipment and time lost and lives lost - all of this in a nights work because this is nothing more than what people do to themselves. Not working, sorry individuals who know, use, and abuse the system, none of them with health insurance.

Yet, they are too sorry to accept any responsibility or accountability for their own actions. And then when they need a doctor or healthcare, they DEMAND the best.

Fix me up and send me home because I am missing a helluva party.

So know you want to ***** about having to accept some responsiblity for the condition you are in? This is NO surprise to me. If you are in great condition physically, emotionally, spiritually - then you pay this price which is less than anyone else because you are at lower risk. IF you are on the border, smoke, drink, over eat - we will take you in at the lower premium PROVIDED you attend these monthly sessions. Weight management, smoking cessation, etc. If after one year you make no progress, you are bumped into a high risk group and pay more for your priemium.

If you refuse to go through the screening and just want health insurance, you can chose to pay a lower premium with a higher deductible or a higher primium with a lower deductible.

That is how all of this works.

In the meantime, I am continuing to pay for your ass in the form of state and federal taxes, medicaid, social security tax, etc.

Remember the automobile example? How far do you think you would get if you had a dui and wreck every two weeks and with or with out insurance you wanted your car fixed and demanded the best care, paint job, shine, and dent repair but you were not going to pay for it.

pretend that car is you and your body.

Don't tell me Obama is going to smash things. It is already smashed.

People live longer, we keep them alive longer, someone who has HIV can live an estimated 20 years at an estimated cost of $580,000.00 just in medication costs (at today's rate).

Has it ever occured to you that no matter how broke or poor or out of work someone is, they can STILL find the money for a drink or a smoke.

Liquor, beer, and cigarettes still thrive in the worst of time.

And I have no idea what this comment means or implies:

Your wife / partner? wants to spend spend spend to 20 trillion, eat the best foods and does not work or go out side when its to hot or cold.

Just like insurance, NOW all of a sudden you want someone to take Responsibility and Accountability.

Now that someone else is in office, thank god we can shift our focus and attention to him and say FIX IT!

Short term memory forgets that there was this huge bill already on the table that could not be paid and was merely shuffled into the new stack of bills (which is actually the old past due debts and bills) and now those debtors are demanding that those bills be paid and the problems get fixed immediately.

But of course, McCain and the GOP had a better plan to handle that stack of bills, debts, and obligations that had been piling up for eight years. Right?
