Put the search box near the top center of the page, or in the general center of the first screenful area, so it is in a good spot for a person to start a search.
If the traffic is so general, then you could build your own webpage and put different subject content on there (with google or yahoo ads), and keep changing subjects until you find one that pulls well. Look for subjects that almost everyone online would be interested in. Add a google/firefox banner. Your subject matter could be an article about the growth of the internet, or online searching, or free online games. This kind of example shows the value in having targetted traffic, which is much more easy to convert. Good luck. |
