| From my experience most bidding activity begins 5-10 minutes before the end of the auction. If there are already multiple bidders going for the domain then I would expect some competition toward the end. Keep in mind that anytime someone places a bid within the last 5 minutes of the auction, the end time is extended by 5 minutes.
I guess the best piece of advice I could give you (if you don't want to place a high proxy bid) is to make sure your somewhere with a reliable internet connection at least 10 minutes before the end of the auction monitoring it and placing bids when necessary. Don't rely on e-mail notifications to let you know if you've been outbid. |
