sorry, this might be a little off topic from where you're going with this, but seeing as you mentioned the government and the military, i wanted to mention that i was flicking through the boob tube just the other night, and noticed there's a show on national geographic channel called CIA Secret Experiments. When i clicked on the 'info' button to bring up the shows description, to my amazement it was something along the lines of "explores how the CIA used Americans as human guinea pigs during the cold war" (not exact description but very close)

so here we have the mass media openly revealing to the American people that its own government carries out secret experiments on them (of course, under the guise that this is something that
once happened in the past)
one might want to take a moment to reflect on that next Saturday, the 4th of July, a day when Americans get together to celebrate their basic freedoms (e.g. the freedom to be experimented on like guinea pigs by a bunch of psychopaths)
