| Of course parents should have the right to reasonably discipline their children. Spanking should fall under this. But there should be a reasonable definition between spanking and child abuse according to law.
Personally, I can't spank my daughter unless I have to. However, sometimes talking about the problem or grounding just doesn't do it.
But going overboard where there are marks or trauma (physical and/or emotional), etc is not right.
