UV = Unique Views
A unique view is a unique person viewing the site. One unique view can generate 10/20 or more hits, this is why unique views are used to show you how many people per day are actually visiting.
A "hit" is a count of every time an object was requested from a page. So a page with 25 images would generate 26 hits (25 images + the page). Hits are a bad way of counting traffic even though the number may look real good. |
