Well, the news is that Microsoft's Billy in his recent visit to India has put a great thrust to Indian languages as he is collaborating government bodies. I heard that Windows would now be available in major Indian languages. So, that means, perhaps, good days for Indian IDNs. But not sure what will happen to .ins and .co.ins and english.coms? How is IDN market in china, japan, and korea?

Cheers!

Well, I think that there will always be a market in Indian for English domains.
Although, it won't be anything like the 1 Billion plus that is hyped. I reckon English will settle down to about 10-20% of the market, but that is just a guess.

I think if you get the right stuff then Indian IDNs are a very good bet, but it is still a gamle. Today's bets are:

xn--31b7ahy1eua.com नागपुर Nagpur
xn--clc4aawtfl7kl7fyadd.com கோயம்புத்தூர் Coimbatore
xn--bwcka2m6bn.com കോച്ചി Kochi
xn--n2bjcc1eua6f.com राय्पुर Raipur

Far East, it is now getting very difficult to register anything significant. The aftermarket is still slow but it is possible to sell domains, although anything you are likely to sell you would be strongly advised to hold, as it will certainly be worth a lot more later. Good domains will go for 4 figures, but might fetch 6 if they are held.

Everything will change once significant traffic appears.

Best Regards
