Regardless of whether it's Uncle Fester or the Wizard of Oz doing it, query snatching is real. I do most of my domain searches via domain.com, and each and every time clusters of domains are registered by the same companies. Without knowing the technical details of the mechanism involved with the process, it is a hard thing to really discuss.
US based Chesterton Holdings was the main perpetrator for a long time. Chesterton seems to have now morphed into several obscure Asian based companies [Wan Fu, etc]. |
