Just be careful in trying to bypass the Chinese firewall. The consequences if caught are not pleasant. If it is country-wide (as stated on some other forums), wait for some time to see if it is a temporary blockage. I've heard Godaddy has had problems with China in the past (possibly for its hosting service being used at one point for a human-rights site).

Here's a snippet from another site:

Once detected they will update their firewall dns to block the site for x amount of hours. This is how it works according to 2600 magazine. I imagine this is happening to you.
