My view is that if you commit a domain to auction, you shouldn't be able to withdraw it. That would make the new auction system more attractive in my opinion. E.g. once you had placed a bid, you knew that you were going to win the auction unless you were outbid.

I second that. The DNF Terms of Service should include additional rules for the new auction system to make sure bidders really get the domain for which they placed the highest bid.
On the other hand, is there a possibility to implement a reserve price option to the auction system?
