Tucows uses a reseller model, although one can become one's own reseller to manage a personal portfolio.
Tucows has excellent staff and support. They're not the cheapest, at $10/yr per domain wholesale, but if safety of your most valuable domains is paramount, they're one of the best. They've been around for years, and remain one of the largest and most trusted registrars. They participate actively on all ICANN issues, too. |
