Who stands to lose the most money from this? The domainers? I don't think so. It goes right up the ladder. PPC companies, affilate programs, search engines, etc. Why would anyone pay for google/yahoo/msn/aol/etc ads when they can take over all the domains, even generics? At the very least, it would almost certainly reduce how much people would be willing to pay for such advertising. This could change the way a great deal of commerce is done on the internet, as well as entire business models of large search engines. |
