On the abuse of the 25 max names issue, we will get reports from Afilias that tells us which names are not free and we will delete them. Abusing the system will just waste everyones time. From what I can tell, so far the abuse has been rather limited. |
So far in 2 days you've had over 781 people (at max 25 names per person) take advantage of that offer. Sounds incredible. I would just like to clarify how Afilias would decide which names are NOT free. Is the 25 max per registrant set at the registry level, or can a registrant take advantage of 2 or 3 registrars offering the same free 25 deal and end up with say 50 or 75? I asked Afilias this and they said that information was "confidential" and to ask the registrar. "Confidential" my a--. Worried that several people may end up getting a bill for regged names they thought were free.
