Along these same lines, don't expect every writer to write the content before getting paid. Just as the buyer is concerned with a writer not writing anything and running off with their money, the writer is sometimes concerned with writing original content and after sending it to the buyer not getting paid for it. I have done a lot of writing in the past and have good references, I am not willing at this point in my life to invest a half hour, hour, or more of my time on a project I may not get paid for. If samples of past work and good references don't put the buyer's mind at ease, there is usually no hard feelings and we both just move on to the next project because there is more than enough writing work out there.
