No, the domain never expired. It also stayed with the same registrar. For some idea of what happened, check out Google's last cached index page for the site:

You are seeing the error in SEDO because I purchased it through them, and it is transitioning from the previous owners account to my own. My CP tells me that they "are currently verifying" the domain, this process usualy takes a few days. But it is still counting visits, up to 19,000 now.
If no one is interested because of this, I am willing to extend the auction until it has cleared my SEDO account and you can view it directly - I just wanted to get it out here while it was still fresh to make it easier for whomever purchases it.
