Something like Bush, in his first state of the Union address, referring to Iran as part of the "Axis of Evil".
Man-o-man, really taught them a lesson in democracy, eh?
Rather than take a diplomatic approach, the flavor of the day was to display falsified info to convince the world we needed to invade Iraq and try to draw Iran in to the fracas through the back door.
Gee, that strategy really worked well. We are still buried in a brutal civil war and that Irani dictactor was smarter than Bush not to be drawn in.
All in all, I would say the Iranian regime got exactly what it was after and Buddy Bush handed it to him - a position of strength and might in the Middle East.
