| Re: Moniker Wins Special Secure Domain Registration Award I think it pays to be cynical otherwise you just get worked over.
I am also beginning to realise that there is more to this game than meets the eye. Traffic is everything but it is also ephemeral, can be manufacturered, redirected, sold and then just stolen away. I am also beginning to realise than Typo's are potentially the largest area of abuse. I very much doubt whether there any systems in place to prevent the manufacture of Overture Scores, which is bad enough on a good name let alone a Typo. Even if there were, you could soon get around it.
The art is obviously to create the Overture before you register it to reduce suspicion. When you have got your overture on some obscure name nobody was ever likely to want, you register it and tout it on here as some great find.
When things start to go against you in the appraisals, just get your imaginary friend or alias to come in and back you up, that it is usually enough to silence the descension.
In the virtual world of smoke and mirrors, how the hell do you really know what is going on. Believe me cynicism is the only real defense you have against the scoundrel!
