Thank you Chris....its nice to see someone else echoing what I've been saying all along on the GW threads. GW does cause extremes in the weather, droughts, rain, snow, heat and cold. The big difference in the heat and cold is that while the cold may be severe it doesn't last near as long as it used to.....but the warm season lasts a lot longer than normal. I suppose it would be best to call it climate change instead of globalwarming.
I think its called globalwarming because that's what's actually happening over the average periods of time.....the planet is heating up on the average and that higher average heat is what will cause the most damage. As the ice caps melt the sea levels will rise. We already have measureable rises right now over the last 100 years but its expected by scientists we will get several feet of sea level rise this century if we don't curtail the use of fossil fuels for energy. If that happens the major coastal cities in Florida and the Floridakeys will be under water as will most all other coastal areas in the world.
I hope and pray mankind will come to their senses and stop this pending destruction of our one and only planet before its too late.
