I like .nets too, but unfortunately, .net domains are getting more and more unpopular it seems. You could get more for a generic .net a year ago then you can now. Everyone wants .com and we can't blame them.
With that being said, I have sold a couple of .net domains to end-users this year. Most people know that the .com equivalent of some names will be priced so sky high, that they'll settle for the .net instead.
