Affiliate programs would certainly make a good thread topic in a 'Domain Development' Forum, but it certainly wouldn't be the only topic.
For instance, other 'Domain Development' topics worth discussing that come to mind are; creating original content, making/selecting a logo, site type and color selection, traffic tracking,
SEO, finding sponsors and buyers, just to name a few.
