Re: Xbox.net

In the 2+ years we've run the site we have never even received an email from Microsoft. I assume they understand that we are one big commercial for them. The previous owner claimed that he spoke with a VP of marketing at Microsoft and they said that it was fine to develop the domain, however, we were never able to verify this.

We're looking for offers in the mid xx,xxx area for the domain name & site, but will consider offers on the site separate from the domain name.

Traffic on the site is fairly consistent, and due to the nature of the traffic does take a hit when college lets out.

Month Unique visitors Number of visits Pages Hits Bandwidth
Jan 2005 53714 90912 5570637 13839438 82.67 GB
Feb 2005 55780 90089 4948442 12112056 77.56 GB
Mar 2005 52425 86955 4781172 11434575 73.89 GB
Apr 2005 36323 61925 3648855 8492468 54.93 GB

The site gets crawled pretty heavily. To give an example, here are some of the spider stats for this month:

29 different robots* Hits Bandwidth Last visit
Googlebot (Google) 22038 1.48 GB 18 Jun 2005 - 00:02
Inktomi Slurp 20132 1.63 GB 18 Jun 2005 - 00:07
MSNBot 11717 866.39 MB 18 Jun 2005 - 00:07

Like I've mentioned in pm's revenue is pretty negligible, maybe $50 a month, this was a hobby site and something to distract from "work" rather than the focus of "work".

I've been having serious problems connecting to DNforum, so please excuse the delay of my replies.
