Sale over. Thanks to all buyers!
For your information, I received a friendly call from Moniker today. While this was concerning another support ticket, I also asked about the affiliate program and the person I spoke to confirmed...
What happened to Moniker's affiliate program? Affiliate links have not been working in weeks and when clicking on the "Affiliate Program" link within the Moniker support system, I get a 404 as well....
sale over
Taking offers on UOBM.COM.
Domain is registered at Moniker, expiration date is June 04, 2011.
Welcome!
Sedo owns a domain investment company called DomCollect AG. So yes, they do purchase domains themselves. However, it also often happens for different reasons that domains show Sedo's address details...
Sedo and Parked.com are different. Sedo is a domain marketplace while Parked.com has a domain parking program only. While it is possible to place a "for sale" link on parked domains, it is not...
Yep, MDNH Inc. is Marchex. They do sell these days, but usually demand high prices.
All domains for sale at $19 each!
They're registered at Moniker.com for a quick and easy push into the buyer's account.
Payment to be made via PayPal. Post "SOLD" to buy domains, please. Thank...
You should re-read what Steve wrote and look more closely at the second half of the sentence you quoted:
It is true that nobody wants a mobile Internet: Everybody wants to have mobile access to...
With hindsight riskless profits are possible, of course. But if you invest $8 that's a risky investment already, so there is no guarantee you will make a profit. If I say there are no riskless...
Actually, there is a difference between pure speculation and investing. But if you want to say that riskless profits are impossible in a well-functioning market, I agree. :)
Same here, so it seems to be a temporary bug.
None of your arguments shows that .mobi is a success. Fact is that it is not. Consumers (website owners) and Internet users don't use it. Only a small number of people uses this small TLD, just like...
I still don't understand why we would need a .mobi TLD, so, although I wouldn't say the .mobi market has collapsed, I don't think it will skyrocket. (Unless there will be a second .mobi bubble.)...
For sale: PlasticOperation.com
Registered at Moniker.com. Payment to be made via PayPal.
Price: $15
Post 'SOLD' to claim. Thanks!
Good suggestion, Michael! I have "Today's Posts" bookmarked, and it is the first page I visit on DNF. I'm mostly interested in the domain-related discussions, so removing the politics section is...
I agree with Acro on this one. You can sell low-priced domains on forums or other platforms, you don't need Sedo for that.
Regarding the change, I actually think it is a good way to create more...
The $50 minimum charge is not new. What is new, is that Sedo now additionally requires domains to be listed for sale at a fixed price if you want to get around the minimum fee.
Sorry to disappoint you, but that is not German for "credit cards". The correct spelling would be, as already pointed out one post above, "Kreditkarten". Conclusion: The domain is worthless.
When it comes to domain parking, I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. That's why I started to move domains away from parking and decided to forward them to developed websites instead....
Sedo continues to produce nice ccTLD sales. Also good to see a handful of reported sales from ProForma's Vern Jurovich & Frank Schilling.
Welcome! Looking forward to reading more from you.
I've sold a good number of domains to corporate buyers; some were my own domains, others I brokered on behalf of clients. But it is a very time-consuming task, so I would not go through the hassle...
So you're offering minisite development services to others around here, but you don't know how to monetize your own domains?
...
Just for the record:
Bari, I do appreciate that you're such an active member of the forum and that you're always helping those of us who run into problems at Moniker every now and then. Although...
Perfect! :)
Of course? If all domain submissions are under a 60-day exclusivity agreement, I won't submit any domains at all!
Let's say I submit a domain worth $xx,xxx, but you turn it down. According to you,...
No end user needs unpronounceable domains consisting of letters such as q, w, r, z and so on...
When the buyout was taking place, prices of four-letter domains were going through the roof. The...
If I submit a domain for the SnapNames October auction and it isn't accepted into the auction, will the domain still be subject to the exclusivity period or can I then turn around and put it up for...
OpenX is what you need: http://www.openx.org
It's feature-rich, relatively easy to use and free!
You could try selling them on this forum, but for that you would need a Platinum membership. There are also other (free) domain forums for you to try, of course.
However, I think the reason why...
That's a good suggestion, Michael.
This thread is from June 2004!
Thanks for the clarification, Jarred! :)
What you want to do is ask experts to comment on your upcoming Bido domain auctions?
I'm not 100% sure which forum section on DNF is right for that, but I assume it's either this very section...
Adatise, you already predicted the world to end on 09/09/09, didn't you?
I actually thought those conspiracy-loving kids didn't really exist, and that they were an Internet cliché, but going...
Bido does not suck. I would rather say their service/feature list is growing too fast compared to the quality of the domains. The home page could use a redesign, too, in order to put the domains back...
These days Bido spends more time promoting its new features than promoting the domains for sale. If you look at the Bido home page, you see that the domains for sale are not even listed above the...
I think what Francisco wants to know is who on DNF is an official Bido Expert. As those using Bido may know, Bido has "experts" who can comment on the domains for sale there.
I've been a Bido...
*Edit* Sorry, wrong thread.
Welcome, Vincent! I see you directly went for the exclusive membership level. :)
I'm not going to buy hyphenated domains for speculation. Although there is a good such sale every now and then, the number of buyers is still very limited.
I would consider buying a few...
Yes. The domain was bought by HRS (Hotel Reservation Service) from Germany. Hyphenated domains are more common in Germany than in the US, because hyphens make two-word domains more readable. I still...
So you don't own the domain (anymore)?
